May/June Events Continue

Shopper in training!

We are still going strong with our House Purge! We were able to tackle the kitchen and the boys' bedroom this week! We cleaned out every cabinet, the fridge, reorganized the cupboards, cleaned out under the beds, cleaned out their dressers and made a list of summer clothes they need- everything looks great! The next big project: The kids' walk in closet, aka the learning closet, aka the place where people throw things and quickly shut the door!

Benjamin has been turning yet another cardboard box into something grandiose. Here he has made and painted his own tank. Not sure why we buy kids toys at all. He had more fun building and playing with this box than all his birthday presents combined! Gotta love kids' imaginations!

Princess Emma. She loves to sit at the table with us now...trying to figure out how to teach a one year old table manners!

Memorial Day we headed to our friend's horse ranch again. This time the boys were very confident on the horses. Bradley even was able to lead some of the other smaller children. Emma even got on a horse! She was a little apprehensive about it, but my friend Mindy just scooped her up and put her on him. After that Emma kept running up to all of the horses and trying to stick her hand in their face. I think a little fear sometimes is a good thing!

Emma had a bad fall the other day. We went to the beach and the boys came home and emptied their sandy pockets on the tile. Emma came running through and twisted her little ankle. We thought she might have broken something so we took her to the Urgent Care. X-rays showed no break, just a bad sprain. She didn't walk on it for almost 2 weeks- it has been pretty miserable around here! The only time she was happy is when I was walking her in the stroller or driving her in the car. Needless to say we took lots of walks! One day we even walked for 8 miles straight!! This injury business is not good for her but I think I lost a couple more pounds. :)

I
I don't know if he was feeling jealous or what but three days after Emma fell, Brad twisted his ankle! The same one as Emma but his swelled up like a balloon and is now completely bruised! What is going on here??

The boys made their own sock monkeys. They were a HUGE hit. They may have even trumped the cardboard box. :)

And who looks more relaxed here?? James is almost ready to transfer to his last station- he can't wait to be done with training! His current trainer needs a little help in the tact and constructive criticism department. Oh, lots of learning happening around here!

Pre-injury dancing. Emma's favorite song!
