Fatburger, by the way, has seriously good veggie burgers- totally tastes like the real thing! Anyway, to make a long story short, there was a sign on the wall that said "Take the King Burger Challenge." Apparently someone came up with this heart-clogging idea to put 3 (yes 3!) 1/2 pound patties on one bun with all the toppings and challenge all the customers to see who could finish it. All my sister had to do was point out the sign, and my husband was all over it. He downed it of course and presented his empty wrapper to the clerk behind the counter. They came out with a gift certificate for a free fatburger and a camera and crowned him "King of Carnivores." As most of you know I am a vegetarian, pretty close to a vegan....aahh, it was a proud moment. :) But hey, if you're ever at the Fatburger in Woodland Hills, check the wall and you will see James' picture!

James is Crowned King
Well, we packed up the car and the three kids and half of our refrigerator (with Bradley's special food), and headed to the San Fernando Valley last Thursday (May 7th). We arrived at the Wyett Senior residence where James' sister Wendy would be watching our angels for 2 1/2 days while James and I escaped to Palm Springs for a homeschooling seminar (MUCH more on that later!). Heather and Sofi met us there so I could get my "Sofi Fix," and then we went out to Fatburger for a quick bite before James and I left.
