Field Trip Week

James has been really overwhelmed lately with his studies. He tries to get caught up on his days off, but it is really hard for him to concentrate with our crew running around. So, we declared this past week to be a "field trip week." We left the house around 10am and came home around 5 or 6. James was able to get a LOT done. We had a blast too. So, here's what we did:

  • · art class
  • · garden
  • · park
  • · library
  • · beach/ "dinosaur cave"
  • · shopping
  • · book club
  • · soccer
  • · more shopping (field trip week is not great for the budget!)
  • · piano
  • · Halloween Festival/Parties

All these pix are from our beach/park day. We drove out to Shell Beach. They have a cute little dinosaur park, and then if you walk down to the beach they have what all the kids call a "dinosaur cave." There is some actually history that backs up this story...I don't know it off-hand, but the kids were pretty impressed!

The park

Umm...can't remember why she is doing this- I think she was pretending to be a dinosaur?

The views from this park are AMAZING!

Can't say I like all the "HAZARD: BLUFF" signs everywhere though!

If you look closely, you can see all the stairs we had to climb down to get to the water.

The "dinosaur cave"

Into the cave- yes, I actually climbed through that small hole. Good thing my butt is getting smaller these days!

The boys started a sea shell collection
