Occasionally in our home school, we find ourselves all studying at the same time. It's how it should be, us all learning together, right? I was finishing up a book for my book group ("A Briefer History of Time" by Stephen Hawking), James was finishing an Orson Scott Card novel, Savanna was working on her book for her fiction writing class at the table, and the boys were sitting quietly looking at their picture books. Normally James and I are constantly being interrupted. It's expected- we home school little children! But it is nice when every now and then they all do their own thing, and Mom and Dad can learn too!
