Our next trip was out to Avila Beach. We stopped by the barn for some treats, fed the animals, and the boys each bought a toy knife with the money they received from family for Easter. They have been wanting these knives for many months...so far no injuries have occurred. ;) We then met our friends at the beach for a picnic, swam, and played at the park.

The infamous knives! I tried to convince them these were utility knives, like for cutting branches in the jungle or sharpening wood to make tools. No, they have become mini swords.
