Our March Geocaching Adventures

James took the kids out several times this week to geocache. Savanna and him found over 10 just here in Nipomo. We hit the road to visit family and plotted out several to find off the 166. It was fun to break up the drive and "treasure hunt." Most of the caches are simply logs where you write down the date and your geocache user id, but we found one cool one while we were out in Maricopa. It was an actual treasure chest with some quarters and marbles in it- the boys thought that was very cool. :)

The boys had to hike off road here to find this next one.

Higher and higher...

They found it!

Oil Relic #1

Ben found his first geocache!

Oil Relic #2- this micro cache totally evaded us- we searched for close to a half an hour! My husband is still annoyed- he does not like to lose!!

I have to say that James is much more into this than I am. For me it's all about the photo opps, and the fact that the kids love it. It gets them out, and keeps them busy!
