Savanna went to Girl's Camp for the first time this past week. She had a blast! The first two days they spent in certification classes. Her certification classes included first aid, knot tying, and learning to put out fires. The girls spent the evenings doing skits, singing and dancing, and sharing their testimonies. She also was able to pick four additional workshops. She chose water aerobics, rock climbing, journal making, and hair styling. She was very excited about her hairstyle, and made me take several pictures (this is after 2 days- time for a shower girlfriend!).
I'm glad she had a great time. We have a wonderful group of young women in our stake, and some fabulous leaders. Besides the "nasty camp food" and "nasty cabins and bathrooms" (welcome to camping, Savanna!), she was very impressed with her experience and is looking forward to next year.
