Emma's Blessing Day

We had a wonderful Sunday. James blessed Emma in Sacrament meeting with some wonderful gifts. She was blessed with a healthy body, a smart mind, wisdom, and a knowledge of her divinity and of all the love that surrounds her (to name a few). It was such a sweet experience to hear my husband bless our new baby. And there is something special about this being our first little girl together. James and I have talked about it at length, and we both have felt so different about Emma's pregnancy and birth. We have come to the conclusion that we were both too young and immature to understand the true weight and significance of other children's arrivals. Not that we didn't love them dearly, but we didn't really "get" parenthood or the impact of raising an eternal family. Whatever the reasons, we feel like an angel has joined our family, and we are so grateful for every moment we've been able to spend with Emma and all the years ahead we have with her. It was really fun to show her off to our ward family too. James' mom, two sisters, nephew, and niece joined us for the day as well which was also really fun. After the blessing our good friend Diane offered to take some family pictures. Here are our favorites- thank you to everyone who made this day so great!
