The smallest person in our family officially runs the show around here. She dictates when we sleep, when we eat, how long we can leave for and when we need to return...it's a good thing she's cute! We have been slowly trying to get Emma to sleep in her bassinet (she prefers to sleep in our bed). She has actually been doing very well in her bassinet, but the other night she just wasn't having it. Finally, so we all could get some sleep, James offered to go sleep on the couch. He laid Emma down on his pillow, and she opened her eyes for a split second, looked right in his eyes, and smirked at him! It was as if she was saying, "Ha, ha! I win!" There have been several other times where we are talking about her, specifically about how she has us all wrapped around her little pinky, and she will giggle or smile. I swear she knows what's up already and she isn't even two months. Man, we are in for it!!
